Excessive slab cracking in ETABS often comes from incorrect cracked section modifiers. By default, ETABS uses gross stiffness, which underestimates deflection. For concrete slabs, set m11 and m22 = 0.35, and for beams, set EI = 0.35–0.5Ig as per ACI/Eurocode. Also check that load combinations are set to serviceability limits (not just ultimate).
